  • To maintain and promote Financial and Social Equity.
  • To foster Academic Innovation and Engagement.

the school

The Integrated School of Building (InSB) not-for-profit research + resources center and professional development institute in the city of Chicago, founded in 2011, and in being the first of its kind it represents the transformation of the mindset of architecture, engineering, and construction.

Integrated Project Delivery, the most recently developed (and desired) yet underutilized form of building delivery and contract structure are the inspiration for the School.

It will best serve the current + next generation of working professionals by better preparing them to lead, manage, and create projects, take charge of their present + future, and of the industry.

chicago

One could tell the story of AEC by just looking at the history of the city of Chicago.

From the age of Industrialization and the first steel high-rise, to mid-century modernism while in occasion the tallest or largest building in the world, Chicago is the place where transformation and innovation has always taken place.

A thriving city of culture, architecture, infrastructure, and people, the place will serve as laboratory to the InSB students to critically examine context, building typologies, sub-systems, and delivery methods.
